Who am I
I am Megan Lomax, founder of MB Secretarial Services. I am a highly organised and experienced Remote Secretary. I have a natural aptitude for interacting with patients/clients and providing a great service with a good attitude and telephone manner, delivered remotely to a top standard.
I am a University Graduate with a degree and experience in Events Management. After four years working as a medical secretary and practice manager in both NHS and private settings -- including running one of Hampshire's COVID vaccination sites -- I started MB Secretarial because I saw a gap in the market that agencies cannot fill.
When you work with a medical secretary agency, you get a team. When someone is on leave, a colleague you have never spoken to picks up. When the agency grows, new staff join who do not know your practice. Over time, the personal relationship that makes a medical secretary truly effective gets lost.
MB Secretarial works differently. You always speak to me. Your letters are always typed by me. Your patients always hear a familiar name when they call. That consistency -- the personal continuity that every consultant deserves -- is something no agency can replicate.
The aim of MB Secretarial Services is to provide a personal service tailored to your needs. The benefit is that I will be your personal PA where yourself and your patients/clients will get to know me and I them, this will create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for your practice.

NHS background
My career began in the NHS as a Community Vaccination Practitioner and Care Coordinator, before leading the administration of one of Hampshire's COVID vaccine sites. This clinical grounding -- understanding how the NHS operates, how patient pathways work, and how to communicate in a clinical environment -- is something most medical secretaries, and all agencies, lack.
It means I understand your world. Not just the terminology, but the pressure, the pace, and what it means to get it right.
